Toronto Best Bets: October 8-14 —Art Month, Tynomi Banks, Halloween Events, & More

She does the city

As we move further into autumn, Toronto is winding down from Nuit Blanche and revving up for even more art, burlesque and Halloween festivities. Delight in debuts at the AGO, grab a bouquet or two for a friend, and get your Halloween costume together this week in the city!

Pacita Abad at the AGO

The late Philippine-born artist Pacita Abad makes her Canadian debut at the AGO this fall. Showcasing over 100 artworks from a variety of mediums, Abad’s work is defined by her engagement in social justice. Best known for her large-scale hanging trapuntos, a form of quilted painting made of stitched and stuffed canvas, this exhibit is a must-see! More Info
