Forthcoming | Mire Lee: Oude Kerk, Amsterdam
With a new series of works, Mire Lee brings movement to the static space of the centuries-old Oude Kerk. She uses materials such as silicone, steel, motors and liquids to create moving, almost living structures. What appears fixed and unchanging is revealed to be fragile and in constant flux. Her work evokes associations with the human body, technology, and the fragile boundary between life and death. Lee’s installations are both sensual and unsettling.
Part of the installation was realised in collaboration with the Wiener Secession.
