Tina Kim Gallery (New York, US, Stand B9) was awarded the Stand Prize in recognition of their booth featuring works by Dansaekhwa artists including Ha Chong-Hyun, Park Seo-Bo, Kim Tschang-Yeul and more. The gallery was selected by a jury comprised of industry figures which included Juli Yoon (Ilmin Museum),Sung woo Kim (Primary Practice) and Serena Sungah Choo (Leeum Museum of Art). Honourable mentions were given to Goodman Gallery and Jessica Silverman.

Ever since the end of the inaugural Frieze Seoul last year, my team and I have been working hard to incorporate what we learned and observed. We wanted to curate a booth that is a reflection of my program while considering the unique audience that Seoul draws, as well as artists and ideas I have always been committed to. Frieze Seoul reaffirms my belief that fairs are successful when they invest in regional markets and cultivate a new audience.’
