Windy Wind (1986) is a sculpture made of Portuguese Black Granite by Minoru Niizuma. This sculpture highlights Niizuma's ability to juxtapose both rough and smooth textures, exposing the inherently beautiful quality of the stone, while also quietly protesting the imposing advance of industrial manufacturing in the late 1970s and 80s onwards. The sculpture was included in a solo exhibition of Niizuma's work at the Art Point Gallery in Tokyo, Japan in 1986.
