FOG Design + Art 2024: Booth 113

17 - 21 January 2024

Tina Kim Gallery is pleased to participate in FOG Design+Art 2024, from January 17 - 21, on view at the Fort Mason Centre in San Francisco. We hope you have a chance to visit us at Booth 113.

Tina Kim Gallery will feature a presentation of works by our international roster of artists, spanning across generations and various media. Many of these artists are celebrated with current and upcoming major institutional exhibitions and commissions.

Highlights include Filipino-American artist Pacita Abad, widely celebrated for her trapunto paintings, who is the subject of a North American retrospective that was on view at the Walker Art Center, now on view at SFMOMA, and moving to MoMA PS1 in April. Seminal Asian American sculptor Minoru Niizuma, known for his carved stone works that sit at the edge of minimalism and symbolic figuration, will be presented. Widely sought-after ephemeral and dreamlike landscape paintings by Kibong Rhee, exploring the balance between what is seen and unseen, as well as the austere, geometric abstractions of Davide Balliano will be on display. New York-based, Korean American artist Yoona Hur will contribute a new series of ceramic works, inspired by Joseon-era traditional moon jars, that embody Buddhist and Confucian concepts. We will have a curated selection of Dansaekhwa, including works by Ha Chong-Hyun, Park Seo-Bo, Kim Tschang-Yeul, and Kwon Young-Woo. Our presentation of these artists coincides with the recent exhibition of Only the Young: Experimental Art in Korea, 1960s-1970s at New York’s Guggenheim Museum, slated to travel to the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles in February.
